Knicks win 2026 NBA championship

At least it wasn't the Lakers. The Spurs blew another lead last night as the Knicks captured the 2026 NBA Championship in just five games. Jalen Brunson had a monster game and was the unanimous choice for series MVP. The Spurs are so young, that barring any major injury to Wembanyama, they shouild be back in the Finals several more times in the coming years.

This was the first championship for New York since 1973. The following year the Celtics regained their rightful place atop the NBA for what it's worth.
