Spurs reportedly optimistic Wembanyama will return from blood clot issue next season
The scary news that Victor Wembanyama is out for the rest of this season due to "deep vein thrombosis" in his right shoulder was a depressing post All-Star game alert. While fans feared the worst that this could be another Chris Bosh situation, there is promising follw-up news that the San Antonio Spurs are reportedly optimistic that their franchise center will return from his blood clot issue by the start of next season.
Chris Bosh was forced to retire at the premature NBA age of 32 due to his blood clot issue. Webanyama just turned 21 so any talk of his career being threatened would have been even more devastating.
