Isaiah Thomas signs with Utah Jazz's G League affiliate in latest NBA comeback attempt
Danny Ainge famously traded for Isaiah Thomas to bring him to Boston and then also traded him away. Thomas in the past attempted to convince then Celtics president Ainge to give him another shot in Boston, but that never came to fruition. Ainge is now giving Thomas another shot in his new home in Utah.
The G League deal of course isn't the same as Thomas getting signed by the Jazz, but it's a start. The guess here is that Thomas will eventually parlay this opportunity into a 10-day contract with an NBA team later this season.Two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas is pursuing another NBA return, signing into the G League and rejoining the Utah Jazz's Salt Lake City affiliate, sources tell ESPN. Last season, Thomas averaged 33 points in four G League games en route to a call up to the Suns.

After developing into an All-Star for two seasons in Boston (2015-16 and 2016-17), Thomas has bounced in, out, and around the NBA the past seven seasons. The fan favorite will turn 36 next week.
