Video: Tatum says Lakers wouldn't even watch him workout prior to 2017 draft

Jayson Tatum was Jeff Teague's latest guest on his Club 520 Podcast. In addition to Jayson Tatum sharing that he told his agent "I gotta get traded" when the Celtics signed Gordon Hayward after drafting him, the Celtics superstar broke down the lead-up to his 2017 NBA Draft.

Tatum says that it hurt that despite him being a huge Kobe Bryant fan the Lakers wouldn't even come to watch him workout. The Lakers were that focused on Lonzo Ball. Tatum had his eyes set on the playing time and warm weather of Phoenix, but the Celtics swooped in and after making a trade down to the #3 spot scooped up the young Duke forward there.

Tatum would come around to Boston after his head coach in college for his lone season Mike Krzyzewski convinced him what a great organization he was joining. There's a lot more in the hour long episode, which you can watch it it's entirety above.
