Guerschon Yabusele parlays strong Olympic performance into contract with 76ers

Former Celtics 1st round pick Guerschon Yabusele is back in the NBA as he's agreed to a NBA minimum deal with Boston's long time Atlantic Division rival the Philadelphia 76ers. Yabusele has a chance to break into Philly's rotation as they are lacking depth up front. In the offseason they added Paul George to their duo of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. When the Celtics drafted Yabusele he was billed as a sort of French Draymond Green, but Guerschon was never able to get it going in Boston. The 28 year old drew high praise for his performance for France in these 2024 Olympic Games though earning him another shot in the NBA. Yabu averaged 20 points and 5 rebounds helping to lead the host country to a Silver medal.
