Jaylen Brown attempts to clear air on comments made following Derrick White's selection to Team USA
Reigning NBA Finals MVP and champion Jaylen Brown has made some noise off the court during the month of July with comments he's made. First he reacted negatively to the news that Derrick White would be replacing Kawhi Leonard on Team USA as opposed to himself. Brown has added more context to his feeling of being snubbed placing the blame on Nike.
Brown also raised eyebrows when he agreed with Anthony Edwards of Team USA that the Wolves forward was the #1 option on the Olympic team. After Jayson Tatum genuinely appeared happy to see Jaylen win both Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals MVP awards, it would have been nice to see Brown remind the world that Tatum was a great #1 option as well.
And then lastly Brown caused a stir on social media when amateur lip readers determined Jaylen had declared that LeBron James' son Bronny was not an NBA player. Brown attempted to clear the air on that story the following day on his X account:
It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity !Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth https://t.co/qO4muFSvrn
