Derrick White accomplishes feat last achieved back in 1987 by Michael Jordan
Boston Celtics guard Derrick White has tallied eighteen blocks over his last seven games. With his two blocks in the Celtics victory over the Raptors this weekend, White actually joined some rare (air) company. The last time an NBA guard had two or more blocks in seven straight games was back ion early 1987 when Michael Jordan accomplished the feat.
White will try to continue the steak tonight in San Antonio when the Celtics face the Spurs to finish out 2023.Derrick White has recorded 2+ blocks in 7 straight games. The last guard to do that?

Michael Jordan in 1987.
Most consecutive games with 2+ blocks by a guard:
George Gervin – 8 (12/20/77 – 1/6/78)
Michael Jordan – 7 (2/13/87 – 2/26/87)
Derrick White – 7 (12/17/23 – ?) pic.twitter.com/LylV5q8k4V
