Daniel Theis expected to sign with Clippers following Pacers' buyout
Daniel Theis will give the Clippers some center minutes that they lost with the recent injury to Mason Plumlee. Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford have played in all the Celtics games so far this season, but if one was to miss time, Theis would have been a pretty solid big to plug that hole temporarily. Obviously the fact that they are both currently healthy likely dissuaded Theis from giving it a go a third time with Boston as he'd be getting Kornet's minutes which have been only about 12 a game so far.ESPN Sources: Veteran center Daniel Theis has agreed on a contract buyout with the Indiana Pacers and now plans to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers assuming he clears waivers. I don't think a team can plan on Porzingis and Horford to both play the 100 or so games a full season and playoffs take, so eventually Stevens will need to add another playable big.
