Celtics counter Bucks Lillard acquisition with Jordan signing

The Milwaukee Bucks were able to pull off a 3-team trade for Damian Lillard to pair him with Giannis this afternoon. The Boston Celtics have reportedly countered that move by inking Jordan Schakel to a training camp deal. The Celtics had some success with another former Jordan from the Wizards when they added Jordan Crawford a decade ago. ML Carr and the Celtics had less success back in the 1990's when he tried to get Michael Jordan to come out of retirement to team up with Dominique Wilkins in Boston.

The undrafted San Diego State alum Schakel has played a total of six games for the Wizards the past two seasons. Most of his professional career has been spent in the G-League.
