Boston Celtics trade Marcus Smart in 3-team trade for Kristaps Porzingis

The Los Angeles Clippers apparently bailed on the 3-way trade with the Wizards and Celtics due to concerns about Malcolm Brogdon's health, which forced Brad Stevens to ante up more to get Kristaps Porzingis. The Celtics will be trading their longest tenured player Marcus Smart instead of Brogdon and they will also be kicking in pick #35 in this year's draft. In addition to Porzingis Boston will acquire Memphis' 25th pick in tonight's draft as well as Golden State's 2024 first rounder. Tyus Jones, Mike Muscala, and Danilo Galinari will head to Washington along with pick #35, while Smart goes to Memphis, who gladly stepped in when the Clippers got cold feet on Brogdon.
