Celtics lose 2nd straight, fall to the Knicks 131-129 in 2OT
The Celtics fell to the New York Knicks Sunday night by a score of 131-129 at TD Garden. For the second game in a row, the Celtics squandered a huge lead before eventually losing. This loss is even more difficult to swallow, due to the fact that Boston now has little time to collect themselves before facing Cleveland tomorrow night. Boston needs to pick themselves up quickly, as they now are 2 games behind Milwaukee in the loss column for the #1 seed. After giving up a career high to Mikal Bridges last game, the Celtics defense wasn't much improved tonight, giving up another career high, this time to Immanuel Quickley. The 3rd year Knicks guard finished the game with 38 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals, all while also playing a career high 55 minutes. Boston got 40 points from Jayson Tatum and 29 from Jaylen Brown, but they were unable to get it done in the overtime periods. With the postseason about 5 weeks away, the Celtics need to get back to playing their brand of basketball and not taking their foot off the gas when getting a big lead. With the #1 seed still very much up for grabs, The Celts can't let go of the rope and let Milwaukee run away with it. I believe in this team, but with 7 of the next 8 games coming on the road, the guys need to come together as a unit and figure it out.Final pic.twitter.com/tFPjMjL5Dz
