Celtics Handle Hawks, secure 134-125 road win

The Boston Celtics started off their road trip in style Saturday night, defeating the Atlanta Hawks 134-125. The Celtics offense was clicking from the jump tonight, putting up 30 points or more in all 4 quarters. Boston concluded the night with 6 of their 8 players scoring in double figures, with 4 of the 6 in double figures scoring at least 18.
Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics again, scoring 34 points and pulling down 15 big rebounds. Tatum's 15 rebounds were his 2nd highest tally of the year, only trailing the 19 he had against Golden State back on January 19th. Jaylen Brown also had a very solid night for the C's. JB recorded 24 points and 7 assists on an efficient 10/18 from the floor. With Tatum and Brown playing like this to start the road trip, hopefully Boston can carry this momentum throughout the rest of the trip. Boston led by 12 at the end of the 3rd quarter, before the Hawks made a little bit of a run to cut it down to as low as 5 in the 4th quarter. Boston responded well though, quickly building the lead back to double digits and keeping it around 10 for the rest of the game. Trae Young (35 points, 13 assists) had a great game for the hawks, but was unable to get Atlanta over the hump in the final period. With the win, Boston moves to 47-21 on the season and within 2 games of the #1 seed in the East with 14 games left in the regular season. The Celtics will have Sunday off before taking on the NBA worst Houston Rockets on Monday night.
