Celtics blow 28 point lead, lose to Brooklyn

The Boston Celtics fell to the Brooklyn Nets 115-105 Friday night at the TD Garden. Boston led by as much as 28 points in the game, including a 51-23 lead in the 2nd quarter. The Celtics took their foot off the gas pedal after that though, getting outscored 92-54 the last 2 and a half quarters of the game.
The Nets 28 point comeback win is the largest by any team in the NBA this year, surpassing the Lakers 27 point comeback win in Dallas last week. Brooklyn was led by Mikal Bridges (38 points, 10 rebounds), who put in his 2nd best scoring output in his young NBA career. The Nets also had 3 players between 17 and 20 points on the night, in what was a very balanced scoring attack. Boston got a great game from Jaylen Brown (35 points, 15/27 FG), but that was about the end of it. The Celtics will look for a bounce back win Sunday night against the Knicks. Boston now has a record of 45-19 on the season, 2 games back of Milwaukee in the loss column for the #1 seed. The season series with Brooklyn is over, with the Celtics winning it 3 games to 1.
