Boston demolishes Milwaukee 140-99 in potential ECF preview

WOW! After an extremely disappointing performance on Tuesday against Washington, the Celtics came back with a haymaker tonight, crushing the Bucks by 41 in Milwaukee. In a game that most Celtics fans wish could've lasted forever, Boston had it going from the opening tip.
The dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown was on full display tonight, combing for 70 points on 25/38 shooting. If Milwaukee continues to put guys like Joe Ingles and Grayson Allen in 1-on-1 matchups against either of the Jays, they will continue to make Milwaukee pay.

Focusing on the defensive end, Boston's defense held Milwaukee to just 99 points in the game. The Celtics did a great job of building a wall against Giannis, holding the 55% shooter to just 11/27 from the floor and 0/5 from deep. With all of the physical bodies we can throw at the Greek freak, Giannis is going to have to earn everything he gets in a potential Eastern Conference Finals showdown.
The win tonight brings Boston to 53-24 with 5 games left in the regular season. This includes a 2-1 season series win against Milwaukee, including a 2-0 record when the Celtics had their normal starting 5 available. With a 2 game cushion, Milwaukee is still in the driver's seat for the #1 seed, but in the event of a tiebreaker, the C's would have the edge.
I would consider this to be Boston's best win of the season based on the quality of opponent and the style of win, especially in response to their lackluster performance Tuesday night. The Celtics will need to refocus quickly though, as they will play Utah on a back-to-back tomorrow night in Boston.
