Jaylen Brown, Celtics defeat Wizards 130-121
Jaylen Brown led the Celtics to a 130 to 121 win over the Wizards on Sunday at the TD Garden. Boston has won 12 out of their last 13 games. They picked up this latest win without Jayson Tatum who sat out with a sprained ankle.
The final score was closer than the game really was. The Celtics took a 25 point lead into the 4th quarter and the Wizards made it respectable putting up a strong performance in garbage time.
The Celtics received balanced scoring from Jaylen's supporting cast as Derrick White, Al Hoford, Marcus Smart, Malcolm Brogdon, Payton Prritchard, and Luke Kornet all scored at least a dozen points. The Celtics hit all 26 of their free throws in the game, which was obviously a nice site to see. The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal in a losing cause.

With today's win the Celtics improve to a league best 16-4 to complete the first quarter of the NBA season. That's a win pace of 64 games, which would be the most Boston has won since their 2007/08 championship season. And Robert Williams hasn't even played a game yet.Joe Mazzulla just said, "No matter who's out, our guys are always ready to step up." That's a fact after we just dropped 130 points tonight while missing JT.
