Celtics blowout Hornets to kick off preseason 134 to 93

Jaylen Brown scored 24 points (in 24 minutes) to lead the way as the Celtics kicked off the 2022-23 preseason with a touncing of the Charlotte Hornets. Malcolm Brogdon had a great Celtics debut as well ending his 24 minutes of action with 11 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds.

The Celtics blew this thing open in the 2nd quarter and just coasted from there. Boston ended the game with a very impressive 41 assists.

Other quick thoughts: Personally I would rather have backup big minutes go to Mfiondu Kabengele than Blake Griffin. Hauser looked like he could be a potential rotation player as well. And JD Davison will get run in Maine this season, but he has an NBA future in my opinion.

We'll see the Celtics next on Wednesday when they host the Raptors.
