Woj: 1 year suspension being finalized, no guarantee Udoka returns after that

Here's the latest from Adrian Wojnarowski on the Ime Udoka situation: Sounds like the chance of Ime Udoka coaching the Boston Celtics this coming season is about zero. And more than likely the next time we see Udoka coaching it will be for another team.

We still don't know the full details of Udoka's violation, but it would take a somewhat bizarre set of events to see Udoka back on the Celtics bench for the 2023-24 season. For one, interim head coach Joe Mazzulla would have to do a poor job this season. If he does well, the Celtics aren't dumping him.

Also, Udoka would need to be on board with coming back and not prefer a new environment/team. If the punishment for the violation ends up being something that the general public (and Twitter mob) find too severe, then maybe the pressure from them would push the Celtics to bring back Udoka. Again assuming that Mazzulla bombs as head coach.

We'll keep you updated with any new details.
