Adam Himmelsbach pours some cold water on the Carmelo Anthony to Boston rumor that was starting to heat up. According to the Boston Globe writer, the Celtics aren't in the market to replace Gallinari any time soon, and instead will give the 2nd year undrafted Sam Hauser a legit shot at rotation minutes.
Of course the Celtics could still sign or trade for another player between now and opening night. There is also the possibility that Stevens is using Himmelsbach to let the rest of the NBA know he's not desperate to overpay for a replacement via a trade.
