Throwback: 1983 Converse All-Stars commercial featuring Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Dr. J

Was watching a recent video where Nick Wright and Dan Patrick were discussing how Larry Bird will soon be out of the NBA Top 10 All-Time. I call BS on that! Just because his career wasn't as long as others shouldn't affect him that much.

He was the best player of the golden era of NBA basketball, the 1980's. There's a reason he was always last in videos like these. And yes Magic ended up with 5 rings to Larry Bird's 3, but that's just because Len Bias died. Had Bias lived, Bird would have had at least 6 rings and who knows how many more. And Magic would have ended up with just 3.

Larry Bird was one of the absolute best to ever play the game. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
