Video: Isaiah Thomas fills up stat sheet in G League debut (42 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, 0 turnovers)

Isaiah Thomas made his Grand Rapids Gold debut on Wednesday finishing with 42 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. He also had 0 turnovers. That 8 to 0 assist to turnover ratio as well as the fact that he scored a ton of his points on drives will be sure to impress NBA scouts.

Everyone knows that Isaiah Thomas can put up points, but scouts had signaled out IT's lack of burst to the hoop when evaluating his Team USA play. He seemed to have trouble scoring on the circus shots that he made on the regular in Boston and collected too many turnovers. Tonight's performance was a big step in the right direction.

Thomas' teammate Lance Stevenson added a triple double for Grand Rapids, but they actually lost to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants by a final score of 131-127, which isn't the best look if you want to be objective. Everyone is rooting for IT to make it back to the NBA, so hopefully its only a matter of time now.
