Jayson Tatum after officially re-signing with Boston: "I plan on being here for a very long time.”



Jayson Tatum who agreed to $195.6 million super max extension with the Boston Celtics on Sunday officially put his John Hancock on the new deal today. Tatum will finish out his rookie deal this season and then the extension will kick in. Tatum will make $33.7 million for the 2021-22 season and his contract will escalate to $41.8 million for the fourth year (2024-2025). Tatum will have a Player Option for the 5th year of $44.5 million.

As expected both the Celtics and Jayson had very nice things to say about each other. Tatum's strongest quote was "I love this city, this organization, and the best fans in the NBA. I plan on being here for a very long time.”
