Jaylen Brown uses postgame presser to inform people on the racist 3rd verse of national anthem
Jaylen Brown poured in 30 points in today's win over the Blazers. In his postgame presser Jaylen wanted to focus on informing people on the racist 3rd verse of the national anthem written by slave owner Francis Scott Key;. Jaylen hints at possibly more needing to be done protest wise than just taking a knee for the Star Spangled Banner.
Jaylen Brown says he's proud of the NBA for allowing players to take a knee + notes the national anthem was written by a slave owner and the third verse also references slavery: “Racism is so deeply embedded in our country that people don’t even flinch or even shift at the idea." pic.twitter.com/BXTSOyq8TI
