Former Celtic Jason Collins talks testing positive for the coronavirus

On Saturday I went to the ER and got tested and spoke with some docs about the tightness in my chest. I’m home now resting but still experiencing some tightness and might go back to the hospital later today. On Saturday my lungs were clear, which obviously is good.— Jason Collins (@jasoncollins98) March 24, 2020
Thank you for all the well wishes. Deeply grateful for the ❤️. Also battling #COVID19 is my partner, @BrunsonGreen. He’s doing better today, but we’re still not out of the woods yet. We’re continuing to self isolate in our home.— Jason Collins (@jasoncollins98) March 24, 2020
Jason Collins played briefly for the Boston Celtics during the 2012-13 season towards the end of his thirteen year NBA career. He is probably most famous for coming out as gay during the summer of 2013. He played 22 games for the Nets the following season before retiring at the age of 35. Collins speculates he got the virus while on a trip to New York too attend a Nets game. If you recall Kevin Durant and 3 other Brooklyn Nets players tested positive for the coronavirus. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Jason.
