Unless you’re living under a rock, you know Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony-Towns got into a tussle on Wednesday night. The hug match resulted in a two-game suspension for each. The suspensions will cost each player around $350k-$400k each.

I may be a little old school, but I love me an on-court altercation. Embiid and Towns are both looking to prove the doubters wrong. Embiid has come up short in the playoffs, has MVP potential, and has outside expectations to make the Finals. KAT has come out this season on fire for what looks to be an improved Minnesota Timberwolves squad.
After years of Towns’ softness being questioned, I’m sure he had enough of Embiid’s chirping. I’m sure Jimmy Butler gave Embiid some ammunition when he was traded from Minnesota to the Philadelphia 76ers last year.

The beef didn’t end on the court that night, as both took to social media to continue the trash talk.

Some NBA players think the talk is cheap and would’ve rather seen the two have a better shot at squaring up.

Ben Simmons miraculously avoided a suspension after putting KAT into a choke hold that resulted in a tap out.
