Quick look at why the Warriors are first in assists and Offensive Rating

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a video may supply even more information. I had previously written that teamwork on offense separates the Warriors from the Celtics. The video below is a quick look at team-oriented offense and precise passing by the Dubs.

It has been argued that the Warriors have elite shooters - thus the high Offensive Rating and assists. That is part of their success on offense but not the whole story. They are also a team of willing and skillful distributors. It is a small sample, but take a look at the Dubs "playing with their food".

Golden State is tops in Offensive rating at 119.7, while Boston sits at #16 with 102.6 - quite a difference. The Warriors dish out 30.7 assists per game to get top-rating. The Celtics are towards the bottom at #27 with 23.9 assists per game. Boston exhibits great teamwork of defense, but some of that needs to ooze over to their offensive game.
