Scal played for 11 seasons in the NBA, five of which were with the Boston Celtics, including the 2007-08 Championship season. He is presently a television analyst for the Boston Celtics and a member of the BIG3 3-on-3 Basketball League as Captain of the Ball Hogs.
The BIG3 is coming to TD Garden on Friday, August 3rd, and the games can be seen on Fox and FS1. The league has a lot of former Celtics, including Chauncey Billups, Ricky Davis, Glen Davis, Nate Robinson, Ryan Gomes and Marcus Banks. Good to see Donkey and Shrek (Nate and Glen) back together.
Other well-known former NBA players are Mike Bibby, Jermaine O'Neal, Baron Davis, Amar'e Stoudemire and Metta World Peace. Coach of the Ball Hogs is Rick Barry, and Julius Erving, Michael Cooper, Gary Payton, Rick Mahorn and Charles Oakley also coach in the League. The BIG3 is packed with NBA stars of the past and talented younger guys.
The focus of my interview will be on the BIG3 League and the Fox Sports broadcasts, but I will also be asking about The White Mamba's thoughts on this season, the Celtics team and its players.
