Hassan Martin reportedly signs with Medi Bayreuth in Germany


Rhode Island forward Hassan Martin has reportedly signed a contract with Medi Bayreuth of the German BBL, as reported by the team.

Martin had a fine showing for the Celtics entry in the recent Summer League, and many of us felt he would sign at least a two-way contract with Boston. Hassan averaged 10 points and six rebounds in only 18 minutes of action for Boston's entry in Summer League.

At 6'7" and 235 pounds, Martin showed promise as an under-sized power forward, and possibly small-ball center, at the NBA level. A solid defender and rebounder, he has a knack for scoring in close to the basket. We wish him well in Germany.
