Abdel Nader had wrist surgery, out for Summer League but not camp
Boston Celtics wing Abdel Nader is going to miss Summer League, it seems.
It's for a good reason, as he elected to have surgery to address issues he's had with the hand since fracturing it in high school.
With an expected timetable for healing set at two to three months, Nader should be completely ready to go come training camp, but won't be able to suit up for the Celtics for their Summer League squads.
Of course, depending on what moves happen over the course of the offseason, it's quite possible Abdel finds himself traded or even cut - his salary for next season is only partially guaranteed, and the Cs may prefer losing Nader to hitting the repeater tax a year earlier - but getting the body right takes precedence over any potential boost extra summer reps may provide.
