Jayson Tatum named to NBA All-Rookie first team
It should come as no surprise that 20 year old Jayson Tatum has been named to the NBA's All-Rookie first team, joining Ben Simmons, Donovan Mitchell, Kyle Kuzma, and Lauri Markkanen. Tatum has been averaging 18 points per game in the playoffs, and 13.9 ppg over the entire season.

However, what might come as a surprise was that Tatum was not unanimously voted to first team honors. One individual thought that Tatum belonged on the second team, but Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens disagreed with this voter's assessment:

In addition, NBC Sports Boston reporter Abby Chin pointed out that Tatum was not the only Celtics rookie to receive any votes: Semi Ojeleye received a single nomination for second team honors.

Congrats to Jayson Tatum on the honors, as well as a phenomenal rookie campaign.
