"THE JAY-TEAM" best nickname for the Jaylen Brown/Jayson Tatum pairing

In a CelticsLife article at the start of the season, I broached THE JAY-TEAM as a fitting nickname for our Rising Stars, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, and we have used it repeatedly. The question of a proper moniker is now out there, and no surprise, I am unabashedly pushing mine.

THE JAY-TEAM

NBCSportsBoston's Abbie Chin has put forth to the two Celtics youngsters such nicknames as  JAYWATCH, JAY.CREW and KID n PLAY. JAYWATCH has some promise, but I dislike the other two. So, apparently, did Jaylen and Jayson.

The moniker, 7/11, was put out there but didn't seem to fly. That one is out anyway because Tatum wears #0. It wasn't too bad, but I still don't think it fits. Our readers can vote for the nickname I am proposing, or choose one of your own. These two Rising Stars are special, and NBA fans realize that. It really is time give this talented duo a name. THE JAY-TEAM it should be!

The race is apparently on to find Jaylen Brown a nickname that gets him into the same realm as "Greek Freak."

Jaylen could use a nickname of his own. He has been here for almost two full seasons without one. In one of my articles I put out THE PROFESSOR as my personal choice. You might have your own.
