Celtics Shane Larkin starts vs. Bulls, gets Tommy Award
With Kyrie Irving out nursing a knee injury, Shane Larkin got his first start in a Celtics uniform against the Chicago Bulls. He played 16 minutes and scored nine points on a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. He also added four rebounds and four assists, all within 16 minutes.
Shane Larkin on his 1st NBA start in nearly 2 years: “It felt good. Coach put me in a position to be successful and I just went out there and did what I’ve done all year.”

As the result of his effective and very efficient play, Shane received the game's Tommy Award from Mike Gorman and Brian Scalabrine. Pior to the season, Coach Brad Stevens had stated that Larkin would prove "impactful" for Boston, and he has done that in a number of games. He filled in nicely for Kyrie and we may be seeing more of Shane as the regular season wears down.
