Kyrie Irving to sit during tilt with Chicago Bulls, Al Horford questionable
The Boston Celtics are banged up.
After a physical matchup with the Detroit Pistons, Boston is on to Chicago for the second night of a back-to-back, but the C's will play without Kyrie Irving, and possibly Al Horford as well.
Horford went down with a knee injury in the first quarter of Sunday night's game in Detroit, but returned and finished with 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.Kyrie Irving (left quad) will not play tonight in Chicago. Kyrie, meanwhile, was held scoreless in the fourth quarter for the first time this season.
The Bulls are one of the worst teams in the NBA right now, so the C's may be able to afford to sit Kyrie and Al, but it's something to look out for heading home to Boston for matchups with the Jazz and Nuggets.
