Celtics waive camp invitees, roster sits at 14 players
The Boston Celtics waived their 4 training camp invitees yesterday as they prepare to open the regular season next Tuesday. Jonathon Holmes, Daniel Dixon, LJ Peak, and Andrew White were all signed to partake in camp with the team and although they have been let go they can still remain "affiliate players" with the Celtics as members of the Maine Red Claws:

Technically the C's roster is at 16, with Jabari Bird and Kadeem Allen holding two-way contracts that will see them start the season up in Maine with the Celtics G-League squad, but the Celtics active roster sits at 14, making them the only team in the NBA with an open slot.
There will be a flux of players coming available with teams around the NBA trimming down the rosters as well, and perhaps the Celtics will find someone of interest among those players released to fill the final spot. The deadline to make those roster cuts is Monday, October 16th - the eve of the NBA regular season tipoff.
Look for the C's to mull through the cutdowns around the league to fill that final spot before the season tips off. Nobody on the bubble that I can think of anywhere jumps out at me but there could certainly be some surprises.
