Brown scores 25, Irving finishes with 22/10 and Tatum gets 14/10/3 in emotional opening night (videos)

Jaylen Brown got career-high 25 points to go with six boards and two steals as he stepped up big time in the face of Gordon Hayward's gruesome injury. Brown played with some great confidence and agression, doing great stuff on transition like this big one-handed slam that LeBron James didn't want to be part of. Kyrie Irving finished the night with his first double-double in Celtics uniform: 22 points and 10 assists. Now it's on him to carry the load offensively as Hayward may be done for the season.

Jayson Tatum became the first Celtic rookie to get a double-double in his first start since Larry Bird! 3rd overall pick in this year's draft had very strong second half, finishing the game with 14 points, 10 rebounds and three dimes. Hopefully he can continue that kind of production that should help his case in Rookie of the Year campaign. Marcus Smart was great in the second half, as well. Smart was one rebound shy of double-double (12 points and 9 rebounds) and filled the statsheet with 3 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals.
