Uncle Drew movie set for June 2018 release
Four-time all-star point guard Kyrie Irving is a superstar in his own right. But his alter-ego, a senior citizen with a killer crossover known as "Uncle Drew," is almost as well-known as the man who portrays him. Originally created for a series of four Pepsi Max advertisements, three of which were written and directed by Irving himself, Uncle Drew will now be the subject of his own motion picture. Release dates are always subject to change, of course, but the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on June 29th, 2018, according to the official Uncle Drew twitter account. We were even treated to a cast photo, which includes NBA legends Shaquille O'Neal, Reggie Miller, and Chris Webber, as well as three-time dunk champion Nate Robinson, three-time WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie, comedian Lil Rel Howery, and actress Erica Ash, in addition to Irving.
