Thomas Robinson off the table for Celtics

One name that has been linked to the Boston Celtics in the past few months has been big man, Thomas Robinson. After the Kyrie Irving trade the Celtics have one open roster spot, and are looking to fill that spot with a power forward or center.

Back in August, Robinson worked out for the Celtics at their practice facility, but left without a contract. Either he wasn't the right fit for the Danny Ainge or he just isn't good enough to be on an NBA roster.

Last season Robinson played for the Los Angeles Lakers, and averaged 5 points, 4.6 boards in 11.7 minutes over 48 contests.

Since coming into the league Robinson has struggled to hold down a consistent role in the NBA. His inability to shoot the ball has crippled his chance to play in the modern NBA.

Robinson will now join a strong Khimki team which feature former NBA player Alexey Shved, the league's reigning MVP. The teams finished second in the VTB United League and reached the quarterfinals of the EuroCup.
