Is trading LeBron a smarter move for Cavs? (+ video)
They'd likely get a better return, given the current state of affairs teams face in terms of cap space, might get James to the team he wants (he does have a no-trade deal, after all) rather then the team he may have to settle for as a free agent, and would allow the Cavs to hang onto Kyrie's good value contract.
Here's a thought...— Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) July 21, 2017
Why not just trade LeBron?
The Boston Celtics would prefer to see James head elsewhere, simply because there is no team in the East who looks likely to be a threat to contend with him joining them, and moving LeBron West would make Boston's NBA Finals goal much easier to attain. Watch the linked video to hear what CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely has to say on the matter.
