Abdel Nader signed to 4-year, $6m deal with Boston

Abdel Nader is (finally) a Boston Celtic.

The Vertical's Shams Chatania reports he'll be joining the team on a four-year, $6 million dollar contract. Nader, who was drafted by the Celtics in the 2016 NBA Draft with the 58th overall pick, battled his way to a roster spot after a strong NBA D-League (now the "G-League") showing after an equally strong 2016 Summer League performance followed by yet another outstanding showing in this year's Summer League.

Nader, who averaged just over 21 points and six boards per game in the D-League and 14.5 points and four rebounds per game in this year's summer league, played his way onto the team and guaranteed money. A fan favorite, he should be exciting to watch in his limited minutes with the team, as he'l still likely spend much time with the Maine Red Claws to keep development minutes high next season.
