Report: Pacers end talks, Paul George will remain in Indiana
Indiana has passed on trade offers for Paul George and All-Star forward will remain with the Pacers, league sources tell @TheVertical.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojVerticalNBA) February 23, 2017
Larry Bird was reportedly asking for 3 key players from the Celtics and the '17 Nets pick. With that asking price, no surprise nothing got done. Pacers were only moving George for an overpay. Ainge wasn't looking to get taken to the woodshed. Despite Windhorst's report that a George trade was likely, in the end like most rumors nothing happened. The Celtics will likely revisit talks with Indiana this summer.
