I.T. with 33, Jae gets 14/11/5, Smart hustles, Brown hits a big three & Rozier provides a spark (videos)
Isaiah Thomas scored game-high 33 points, including five threes as the Celtics beat the Pistons for the third time this season. Thomas continues his hot streak as he once again scored 20+ points on the night. He is in fact the only player in the NBA this season (min. 25 games) who got 20 or more points in all road games!
Jae Crowder finally got himself a double-double, posting 14 points to go along with 11 rebounds and five assists. Jae did a little bit of everything on Sunday night as he was the Celtics best rebounder in the game, second best scorer (only behind Isaiah) and got team-high five dimes without commiting a single turnover.
Marcus Smart once again got a crucial offensive rebound in Detroit, this time after Jaylen Brown's missed free throw. Smart's hustle helped the Celtics to turn this game around as he continues to play good basketball in the month of February. Smart got also 13 points, including some tough shots and nice plays in the post.
Jaylen Brown hit one of the most important shots of his career so far when he scored from the right corner in the last minute of the game, putting the Celtics up front. Brown was very agressive from the start of the game and finished with 13 points, five rebounds and two steals. What a shot by The Rook!
Terry Rozier scored 13 points on his own in just 18 minutes of play, hitting 3/4 from the downtown and providing nice offensive spark off the bench with Gerald Green being sidelined.
