Boston narrowly beats the 76ers 110-106
For those who may not have been aware, Joel Embiid is pretty damn good. It took some doing, but in the end Boston squeaked out the 110-106 win.
The game didn't start out too great, with Philadelphia snagging an early lead. Boston fought back to take a lead of its own, but the 76ers poured it on in the second quarter and ended up taking a 62-51 lead into halftime. Philadelphia held onto its lead for all of the third quarter, though the Celtics cut it to two before the end of the quarter.
Boston reclaimed the lead early in the fourth quarter and then the game went back and forth the rest of the way.
For Boston, Avery Bradley had 26 points and nine rebounds, Al Horford had 19 points and 12 rebounds, Isaiah Thomas had 24 points and Marcus Smart had 14 points and eight assists.
For the 76ers, The Process Embiid had 23 points and eight rebounds in just 26 minutes on the court, Nerlens Noel had 13 points and eight rebounds and T.J. McConnell had nine points and 17 assists and Ersan Ilyasova had 20 points.
Boston's next game is Saturday at home against Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans.
