Jae Crowder officially ruled out for Wednesday's matchup with Dallas

The Celtics will once again be without forward Jae Crowder for tomorrow nights tilt against the Mavericks in Boston. After injuring his ankle almost two weeks ago (Nov. 2) against Chicago, Crowder has missed 6 games. The Celtics have gone 2-4 in his absence.

When asked about Crowder's status for the upcoming stretch of games, coach Brad Stevens noted that he only knows as far as tomorrow. Via A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com:

“I know he’s not playing,” Stevens said. “I haven’t asked beyond that.”

The status on Al Horford is still unclear, as he was a game time decision in Monday nights game as well. He ultimately didn't end up playing. The Celtics mediocre 5-5 record to start the year has a lot to do with them missing two of their key components.

We'll have to wait at least another game to see the C's back at full strength. In the meantime, Isaiah Thomas and the rest of the Celtics will have to hunker down for at least another game:
