The Boston Celtics exercise team options on Marcus Smart & Terry Rozier: Decline option on James Young
The Boston Celtics waited until their final deadline date to pick up the team options on 3rd year guard Marcus Smart and 2nd year guard Terry Rozier. The team will pay Smart $4.5 mil and Rozier $1.9 mil for their services during the 2017-18 season. Danny Ainge now has until one year from today to decide on picking up Rozier's 2018-19 team option.#Celtics have exercised the contract options on Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier. With news that the team has decided they won't pick up their 4th year team option of James Young, it truly becomes a make it or break it year for the 2014 first rounder. Young, who just turned 21 in August, will become an unrestricted free agent after this season.
