Terry Rozier, fashion designer?

Tuesday night’s Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation Gala afforded many Celtics players the opportunity to showcase their individual fashion sense.

It seems as though one of the sharpest dressers on the Boston roster is also one of the youngest. 22-year-old point guard Terry Rozier prioritizes his image over other luxuries, as per Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe:

“I’d rather spend my money on clothes,” Rozier said. “I have a budget. Why not want to look nice? It’s something I just value for myself. Instead of just spending money on cars and stuff, I’d rather buy clothes. It’s just something I like.”

The former University Of Louisville standout doesn’t stop at merely following high-fashion; Rozier explored his passion by immersing himself in an internship with Esquire magazine this summer.

“It felt like I was a true intern this summer,” said Rozier. “I didn’t have to get coffee for anyone or anything like that, but I was learning about all the different brands and seeing what they do at the magazine day by day.”

Whilst many fans will only know the Ohio native from his work on the court, Rozier believes that his interest in fashion is part of his identity:

“It’s just something I’ve always been interested in, and I had a lot of fun,” Rozier said. “My thing is fashion. I love fashion.”

Much like fellow NBA point guard Russell Westbrook, Rozier aspires to boast his own clothing line and feels as though the Oklahoma City Thunder star’s creativity sets him apart from the rest:

“He’s got some crazy ideas,” Rozier said about Westbrook. “But I guess that’s part of fashion, to have your own creative ideas.”
