Boston Celtics reportedly interested in Luol Deng and Kris Humphries

Former .@celtics big man Kris Humphries among the players discussed by Boston about bringing in via free agency, sources tell .@CSNNE— A. Sherrod Blakely (@SherrodbCSN) July 1, 2016
Danny Ainge plays his cards pretty close to the vest. You'll hear about some of the players he's interested in, but then out of the blue, we'll trade for Jeff Green even though there was never a rumor about or Isaiah Thomas will be the first free agent contacted, even though we have a log jam at the point. Kent Bazemore, Amir Johnson, Jonas Jerebko were all players Danny went after that were never linked to the Celtics. On the first day if free agency this year we have Luol Deng and former Celtic Kris Humphries.
Due to the Celtics pursuit of max free agent like Kevin Durant and Al Horford, the Celtics aren't likely to sign either player immediately. They are more like back-up plans. Humphries doesn't make much sense, but Deng would be a solid addition as a stretch 4 in today's game. We'll keep you posted with any more details.
