Report: Celtics 'really shopping' No. 3 pick, 'trying to be as aggressive as possible'

It's the time of year when things that aren't really news become news, and this is the perfect example.  Here's what A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE had to say recently regarding the Celtics' outlook on the upcoming draft:

[I'm] hearing that No. 3 pick overall is the one that they are really shopping, trying to be as aggressive as possible in trying to move that pick, because they want to get a difference-making, impact player right now. And they believe using that No. 3 pick, and maybe some other players and/or picks, might be the best way to [make] that happen.

It's no surprise to anyone who follows this team that Boston is looking to move the third pick in the hopes of getting a star player in return.  That's the idea Wyc Grousbeck suggested back in December (before the Celtics even knew which selection they'd get from Brooklyn) and what Danny Ainge reiterated immediately after the lottery.

However, for C's fans rooting for a trade, it may be encouraging to hear the words "really shopping" and "aggressive as possible" when it comes to dealing No. 3.
