Boston will select Jaylen Brown, sources tell Vertical.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojVerticalNBA) June 23, 2016
Ainge LOVES Jaylen Brown. Big, strong, athletic and versatile forward. Not a great shooter, but that’s the area he feels can improve most.— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanESPN) June 23, 2016
Celtics take Jaylen Brown, thumb noses at Philly. Ainge said he would take best player available.— Mark Murphy (@Murf56) June 23, 2016
I think Jaylen Brown will eventually be an all-star, but couldn't Ainge have traded down a few spots for him? All along I've said Danny Ainge should pick whoever he thinks will be the best long term star player. So if Brown ends up better than Dunn there will be no complaining where he was chosen.
Celtics still have 7 more picks to go.
