Is tonight's game in Toronto a must-win for the Celtics?
Losers of 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5, the Celtics look to get back on track tonight on the road against the Raptors.
So is tonight a must win game?
Thomas calls Fri. a must-win: "Shit, three in a row losses that we've had? This is probably our worst loss of the season. We've got to win."— Darren Hartwell (@darren_hartwell) March 17, 2016
Isaiah Thomas: "We’ve got to win (Friday). The playoff picture – not saying we’re not going to make the playoffs, but it’s close."— Jay King (@ByJayKing) March 17, 2016
Brad Stevens on regrouping: "There’s only a couple ways you respond. You either lay down, or you compete like there’s no tomorrow."— Adam Himmelsbach (@AdamHimmelsbach) March 17, 2016
That seems like a challenge from Brad Stevens. Without Jae Crowder and Jonas Jerebko, the Celtics desperately need to band together and put 48 minutes of maximum effort together.
The good news for the Celtics is that Toronto just were stretched to OT in Indiana last night, and may decide to rest Kyle Lowry. With the Raptors on the second night of a back-to-back and the Celtics having a full day off to marinate on the last two losses, hopefully the Celtics can band together and get a much needed win up at the Air Canada Centre tonight.
Tip-off is 7:30.
