Around the NBA 11/8: Things Celtics fans should know from last night


There were 18 NBA teams in action last night.  Here are 7 things you should know:

2016 DRAFT PICK WATCH

1. Things keep getting worse for the Nets. In addition to losing the game last night against the Milwaukee Bucks, they also potentially lost Brook Lopez to injury. The Celtics own the Nets 2016 first-round draft pick.

2. The Mavericks defeated the New Orleans Pelicans last night to move to 3-3 on the season. The Celtics will receive the Mavericks 2016 first-round draft pick as long as it falls outside picks 1 through 7.

3. The Minnesota Timerwolves performance last night should give all Celtics fans hope at having four first-round draft picks in 2016, as they defeated the Bulls in Chicago by nine. They are now 3-2. The Celtics will receive the Timberwolves 2016 first-round draft pick as long as it falls outside picks 1 through 12.

ATLANTIC DIVISION STANDINGS WATCH

4. The 76ers lost at home last night to the Magic 105-97. Philadelphia is now 0-6.

5. As referenced above, Brooklyn fell to 0-7.

FORMER CELTIC WATCH

6. Paul Pierce and the Clippers lost to the Rockets last night. He had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists over 24 minutes of action.

7. Rajon Rondo had his first triple-double of the season last night as the Kings lost to the Warriors 103-94. Rondo finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds, 15 assists, and 4 steals.
