Around the NBA 11/23: Things Celtics fans should know from this weekend

This weekend saw the Celtics move into third place following a tough loss to the woeful Nets, as well as 24 other NBA teams in action.  Here are things you should know:

1. The Nets took the second of a home-and-home with the Celtics last night.  They are now 3-11.  The Celtics own the Brooklyn Nets 2016 first-round draft pick.

2. The Timberwolves did not play this weekend.  They remain 5-8 on the season.  Minnesota will convey their first-round pick to the Celtics only if it falls between 13-30.  If Minnesota's pick falls between 1-12, they will instead convey their second-round picks in 2016 and 2017.

3. The Mavericks lost a close one to the Thunder last night 117-114.  They are now 9-5.  Dallas will convey their first-round pick to the Celtics only if it falls between 8-30.  If Dallas' pick falls between 1-7, the conditional 2016 pick will become a 2017 first-round pick with the same conditions.

4. The Knicks defeated the Rockets in Houston 107-102 on Saturday.

5. The Raptors beat the Clippers in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon.

6. The 76ers fell to the Heat on Saturday night.

7. The Nets got a win over the Celtics last night.

Atlantic Division as of 11/23
Toronto 9-6
New York 8-6
Boston 7-6
Brooklyn 3-11
Philadelphia 0-14

8. Rajon Rondo and the Kings won in Detroit on Saturday.  In addition to playing another insane 42 minutes, Rondo finished with 13 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 turnover.

9. Jeff Green and the Grizzles lost to the Spurs Saturday night.  He played 28 minutes and finished with 6 points and 7 rebounds.  He was also a team-worst minus-16.

10. Paul Pierce and General Manager Doc are not helping the Clippers.  They lost again yesterday at home versus the Raptors and the game was never close.  Pierce finished with as many points as turnovers (two), and had the second worst +/- at minus-14.
